About the event

It's THE DAY, in Vedic tradition, that we celebrate the birth of Sri Krishna. It’s Krishna’s birthday! Known as Krishna Janmashtami. Krishna is the embodiment of Divine Love. Krishna is the voice & presence of the Universe that guides us through life, through our dharma, in the Bhagavad Gita. Krishna is the Divine Love and the Grace that we find in our doubts and hardship, when we realize a greater loving universe is actually holding us. Krishna is the grace of the divine that is at our side, guiding and holding us in the power of love.

We will dedicate this Kirtan to chants for Shri Krishna. In one shared voice and heart-opening vibration of community collective chanting, the Universe beyond this plane of perception is revealed. We find and feel the presence and grace of the divine (Krishna Consciousness) in the space between each other, as we chant together.

The society around us seems to be more violent, more aggressive, and more and more separated than ever. So we focus on LOVE in our Kirtan this Monday.

Kirtan is coming together to chant mantra collectively. The positive energy found in chanting mantra is amplified exponentially in the vibration of voices shared, in devotion, and with open hearts. Kirtan is a path of yoga, called Bhakti Yoga. Which is the yoga of devotion and the heart. In Bhakti Yoga, we chant devotional songs to connect to a space of Grace. The grace that flows, simply and powerfully by saying the name… the name of the Divine.

We sing together, not to KNOW, but to FEEL the truth and light of ancient sages and wisdom teachers. This is an amazing opportunity to expand your heart, compassion, and your own humanity.

Just bring your voice, an open mind, and an open heart. We will have the opportunity to release: negative self-consciousness, inhibitions, doubts, fears, and shadows in our own egos. Chanting together opens pathways for self-realization, peace, fun, and joy.

All are welcome and all can feel comfortable in this space. The more curious the better. Kirtan requires no previous experience. Just come.
