Carrie Masters
Yin Yoga & Meditation
Carrie has been a fitness instructor for over 15 years and has been practicing yoga for 20 years. As a certified Yoga Instructor she holds a 200 YTT certification with the Yoga Alliance as well as a certification for water exercise from the AEA. She currently leads Yin Yoga, Aqua Yoga, Water fit Pilates, and Paddle Board Yoga.
Yin Yoga is a slow paced practice that encourages students to slow down in this fast paced world. Breath is slowed and asanas, or poses, are held for multiple minutes allowing the body to slowly release tension and remove stagnant energy. Physically yin yoga helps to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility focusing on the connective tissues of the body, tendons, fasciae, and ligaments.
Yin Yoga is also a meditative practice bringing focus and awareness of the body and cultivating inner silence of the mind, while realizing a universal connection to all beings.
Carrie’s other passions include swimming, reading, pickleball and painting. She is also a photographer, writer and part time activist.
