Gayatri Mantra Chanting Circle Saturday, April 18 | 7:00–8:30 p.m. | Yoga Together Lincoln | $25 The Gayatri Mantra is a meditation on spiritual light, chanted for thousands of years and considered by many to be the essence of all mantras. On April 19, Mars and Saturn meet in sidereal Pisces, creating an intense energy that will be felt personally and collectively. This chanting circle is an opportunity to channel this energy as spiritual light — for ourselves, our families, our community, and our world. We'll chant the long form of the Gayatri, which articulates the upper luminous spheres of existence. These realms are home to "saints and sages, prophets and rishis, angels and archangels" — the unseen help that is ever present and willing to lend us a hand. We'll explore the mantra with care and curiosity. Although we'll aim to pronounce the Sanskrit words well, this circle is less about perfection and more about nurturing a tender, devotional space in our heart and mind. This circle is for anyone drawn to the transformative power of sound — yogis, seekers, devotional practitioners, and those longing to quiet the mind and shift deep patterns of thought.
