We are living through a time of dramatic change. The structures of the past have been destroyed and the new ones haven't been built. We are standing in the rubble of one age and the next has yet to take shape.
In times like these, even the most accomplished among us needs help. At the beginning of the Mahabharata War, Arjuna — warrior, devotee, a person of extraordinary gifts and spiritual accomplishments — was heartbroken that the world he knew was ending. In his grief, he needed a friend.
This is the beginning of the Bhagavad Gita, an exchange between Krishna and Arjuna. Together they ponder the purpose of life, the gravity of grief, and the hope for humanity. Krishna teaches Arjuna Sankhya and Yoga — eternal knowledge for meeting current conditions.
Don't get me wrong — I'm no Krishna. He's divine and significantly better looking. But I have been practicing yoga consistently for 27 years and these teachings have given my spiritual life depth and direction. They have shaped how I understand myself, how I find meaning, and my relationship to life.
This immersion is my attempt to create a small community of sincere seekers — people who want to learn together and find each other in difficult times. If that's you, I hope you'll come.
