About the event

I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullaby - John Denver, Rocky Mountain High

The Perseid meteor shower of 2024 will be visible July 14th to August 24th. Exceptionally visible as the shower peaks on this night of August 10th, from midnight through the early morning of the 11th. We will take inspiration from the Perseid shower, and shower in the sound of cosmic fire, trickling down from the sky of an astro-soundscape.

The living vibrational sound experience will sonically shine down like falling water, cleansing the dense, aggressive energies of life. Waves of multi-layered sound streams generated by gongs, bowls, and chimes, open the spacious awareness of our Alpha/Theta consciousness. We realize again what we have forgotten…we are held. We are held by a Universe so much greater and more expansive than the spinning rock of our own daily concerns.

A meteor is a piece of space-rock passing through earth’s atmosphere, becoming an ignited line of fire and light over the field of our night’s sky. A meteor shower happens when the earth passes through a cloud of dust and debris left behind by a comet. Under the external stream of stardust debris called the Perseid Meteor Shower, we will listen to the universe through our sensory body, our hearts, and our awareness within.  Join us for inward reflection and a shower of healing vibration in the Community Sound Experience. And then go out into a night of magical stars, raining fire in the late night sky!

Saturday August 10, 2024 at Yoga Together Lincoln 6pm. $40 Bring a mat and a pillow, a soft place to land.
